Cursusinformatie

To become and remain a recognized training company, you must have at least one certified Mentor in the Hospitality Industry (Mentor) within your company. As a Mentor you are indispensable for the development of (young) employees in the hospitality industry. You share your knowledge and guide your employees so that they can develop into professionals. A responsible task. The quality of you as a Mentor is a determining factor in this.

What do you learn during the Mentor course?

With the SVH Mentor in the Hospitality Industry course, you pass on the craftsmanship to new employees. After the course you have a good understanding of the work processes below and you can apply them into practice.

During the course you will learn about:
  • Recruiting and selecting your new (learning) employees
  • Introducing and training your (learning) employees
  • Keep developing yourself
  • Assessing your (learning) employees
  • Guiding your (learning) employees
  • Discussing and determining the guidance process

Generation Z:
A new generation, generation Z, is eager to work in the Hospitality Industry. This generation will work different compared to the current Mentors. This means that you as a Mentor have to change course to keep being interesting for this generation.
This will be educated to you by the following subjects:

  • Handling generation Z
  • Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of students
  • Knowledge, skills and learning processes
  • Becoming and staying an attractive company: finding, binding, captivating and holding on!

Doelgroep Entrepreneurs, managers and employees who want to become an accredited Mentor in a kitchen, restaurant, reception or company canteen
Toelatingseisen No preliminary training required
Examen The SVH exam consists of 3 parts: Portfolio (homework assignment), Guidance & Training (practical exam) and a Theory exam.
The SVH Theory exam is a written one and consists of 30 multiple-choice questions
Diploma/certificering SVH Diploma Mentor in the Hospitality Industry
Cursusduur 3 days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is a 2-week period between the course days both times. During this time you have to work out a portfolio in your own time
Cursusgeld € 995,- included course material, examination fee and day arrangement, VAT-excluded
Geldigheid It is desirable to repeat this course after a few years to keep your knowledge up to date
Extra On the third course day the SVH exams will start around 12.30 p.m.
